Jackson and I took advantage of our last months of freedom before our little girl arrives and took off with our dog Judy on a fourteen day road expedition that spanned the states of Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah. Our journey included stops in San Diego, Bakersfield, San Luis Obispo, Morrow Bay, Big Sur State Park, Monterrey, San Rafael, San Francisco, Sacramento, Truckee, Tahoe, Reno, Great Basin National Park and Flagstaff. We met up with family and friends along the way. We played with Judy in the ocean, admired the aquatic life at the Monterrey Bay Aquarium, saw some wacky people and stores on Haight Street, waded through Tahoe and Donner Lakes and (Jackson) inner tubed down the Truckee river, walked the farmer's market, ate some fabulous food, enjoyed some amazingly cool weather, camped and stayed in a quaint rustic cottage. It was a wonderful trip, and I think Madeline enjoyed it too.
